Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ٨ ذى القعدة ١٢٤٥١ مايو ١٨٣٠نمرة ١٤٠صفحة ٢-٣ حوادث الديوان الخديوىفى ١٠ رمضان الحاج على الخياط القراجه صولى الساكن فى خان الخليلى وخدام له يسمى شنوانى بدر ورجل اسمه على جاوا بمعرفة باش اغا الى الديوان الخديوى فقال الحاج على انى استخدمت عليا هذا منذ سنتين وان لى حاصلا فى وكالة قريبة الى الحسين ودكانا تجاه الوكاله فكان اذا لزم لى شئ من الدكان اعطيت المفتاح لعلى فاتى بما طلبت واذا ذهبت الى محل ابقيته فى الدكان وانه قبل رمضان فتحت الحاصل ثلاث مرات وابقيت المفتاح فى الدكان وفى اليوم الثانى منه ذهبت اليه لحاجه اقضيها فرايت الباب مفتوحا والضبة سالمة من الكسر وكان لى فى صندوق فيه اربعون ريالا فرانسا ونحو عشرون قرشا وثمانية عناتره فلم اجدها فيه ومن حيث ان الخادم بدخل الحاصل وحده سألته عن ذلك مرارا فانكر و فى اليوم المقبل ذهب من دون اجازة ثم اتى عصرا فسالته اين كنت قال ذهبت لابدل اوراق فردتى فحصل عندى شك من ذلك بانه هو الذى اخذ تلك الاشياء فمن ثم ذهبت به الى باش اغا وهو ارسلنا الى هنا فسئل على عن ذلك فقال عنده اثنان غيرى خيطان وعنده اخر يسمى الحاج احمد يفتح الدكان احيانا ويأخذ ما يلزم للخياطين هذا وانه بعد ان سرقت دراهمه بيومين اتهمنا كلينا ثم ترك ذلك ومسكنى انا وحدى فعرض ذلك لحضرة مأمور الديوان الخديوى فقال ينبغى ان يهدد بدر فهدد ولم يظهر عليه شئ فامر ح ان يرسلوا الى الشرع الشريف وتم الامر على هذا المنوال.
