Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ٨ ذى القعدة ١٢٤٥ ١ مايو ١٨٣٠ نمرة ١٤٠ صفحة ١ حوادث الديوان الخديوى المعلم فيلبوس مباشر تشغيل المهمات ورجل من اهالى بركة الخيم من اقليم الجيزهيسمى عبد الواحد واخر من بنوب الحماميسمى حماده ساكن فى بنى سويف جاؤا الى الديوان الخديوى فقال المعلم المذكور ان لى بيتا فى درب المصطفى وراءه بيت خراب وفى جانب الاوضة التى انام فيها اوضة اخرى اضع جميع ما تملكه يدى فيها فكنت ذات ليلة نائما وقد شعرت بواحد يفتح الاوضه فدعوت فلم يجبنى احد فاخذت نورا ومضيت الى الاوضه فلم ارى فيها شيا مما كان لى فدعوت الجيران وذهبت الى باش اغا فارسل بهلوان اغا وبعضا من البصاصين ففتشوا على الاشياء التى سرقت فوجدناها فى البيت الخراب وراينا ذين الرجلين نائمين ورا الباب فجمعت انا تلك الاشيا ووجدت انه فقد منها فم كهربا وطربوش وخمس عشرة خيرية وارسل المذكوران الى هنا فسئل عبد الواحد عن ذلك فقال كنت اتيا امس من بولاق فصادفت حمارا فقال لى الاسر بنا الى محل ننهب ما به فقلت له انى تبت عن ذلك ثم انه مضى بى الى بيت هذا المعلم ودخلنا اليه من طاقة البيت الذى وراه واخذنا كلانا تلك الاشيا فلما شعر المعلم بذلك نهض داعنا فهربنا ومكثنا فى ذلك المحل واتى هو وغيره وراونا فيه فسئل الحمار فقال ذلك صحيح فقيل لهما اين الاشيا التى فقدت له فقالا انا لم ناخذ شيئا فلما عرض ذلك لحضرة مأمور الديوان الخديوى قال ان لهما عادة على فعل هذا الامر ولذا ارسلا قبل هذا الى مينا الاسكندرية ولم يتادبا فينبغى الان ان يعود اليها ليخدما فيها ستة اشهر لانه ربما يكفان عن ذلك وتصلح حالهما فمن ثم وضعا فى الحبس على عزم ان يرسلا فيما بعد الى اللومان.
