Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ٢٩ صفر ١٢٤٦١٩ أغسطس ١٨٣٠ نمرة ١٧٩صفحة ٣ حوادث الديوان الخديوى وردت تذكرة من البيك الضابط محرر فيها ان محمدا الجاويش الرابع عند يوزباشى الاولفى الاورطة الثالثة من الالاى الفرسان الرابع له دعوى على خليل ربيع خفير مصر القديمة ولذا ارسلهما الى الديوان الخديوى مع على احد انفارقوللق الموسكى فسئل محمد الجاويش فقال انه قبل عيد الاضحى بستة ايام سرق لى من العش الذى اسكن فيه حلة وقميصان وفم شبوق وانى اتيت الى مصر امس باجازة من ضابطى واذ كنت عايدا دخلت قهوة فيها فرأيت الفم بيد هذا الرجل فسألته فقال اخذته من مغربى منذ سنتين فسلمته للقوللق فقيل له اين كنت يوم سرقت الاشيا فقال كنت فى خدمتى وكانت امرأتى نائمه فسئل خليل فقال انا رأيت هذا الفم مع مغربى شيخ فى بوزه خانه بمصر القديمة منذ سنتين فسألته بيعه فقال ابيعه فاعطيته خمسة قروش واخذته فقيل له هل اخذت كفيلا له فقال لا مثل ذلك لا يلزم له كفيل حيث هو قليل ثمنه فقيل له هل أحد رأى هذا الفم معك قبل العيد فقال نعم واتى بشهود ولم يقنع الجاويش فارسلا الى الشرع
