Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ١٩ صفر ١٢٤٦٩ أغسطس ١٨٣٠ نمرة ١٧٥ صفحة ١ حوادث الديوان الخديوى وردت تذكرة من البيك الضابط مضمونها ان احمد الزيات بالخرنفش يدعى على داود الخفسر بانه فتح دكانه ونازعه ولذا ارسلهما الى الديوان الخديوى مع عوذ احد انفار القوللق الذى فى الموسكى فسئل الزيات فقال ان لى دكانا فى الخرنفش وانى ذهبت اليه صباحا فوجدت الضبة مفتوحة وكان لى فيه دراهم فلم ارها فاخذت الخفير الى البيك الضابط وهو ارسلنا الى هنا فسئل عن كمية الدراهم فقال هى مائتان وخمسون قرشا او مائتان وخمسة وعشرون او مائتان فسئل عن اصنافها فقال ليست فى بالى فسئل الخفير فقال انه يفترى على بدعواه فسئل ابراهيم البصاص الذى كشف على هذا فقال انه اتى الى البيك الضابط وهو يقول فتح دكانى وسرقت دراهمى فارسلنى البيك الضابط فرأيت انه ليس مكسورا ولا مفتوحا بل رأيت مسمارا واحدا سحب من اسفل الضبة وليس ذلك جديدا بل هو قديم فلما قال البصاص هذا ولم يكن للمدعى علامة تدل على خصمه انه سارق ارسلا الى الشرع.
