Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ١١ ذى القعدة ١٢٤٥ ٤ مايو ١٨٣٠ نمرة ١٤١ صفحة ٣ حوادث الديوان الخديوى عطيه الحمار فى باب اللوق وحسن المنياوى جاؤا الى الديوان الخديوى بمعرفة باش اغا فقال عطيه انه فى يوم الجمعة الماضية فى الساعة الثالثة من النهار دخل حسن هذا منزلى وكان ابنى نائما فاخذ عن راسه شالا وطربوشا وقد رايت امس الشال والطربوش فى سوق العصر مع غنيم الحمار فسألته فقال اخذتهما من حسن فذهبت بهما الى باش اغا فسألهما المومى اليه فاقر حسن فاطلق غنيم وارسلنا كلينا الى هنا فسئل حسن فقال اغوانى الشيطان على ذلك فعرض ذلك لحضرة مأمور الديوان الخديو فقال ينبغى ان يعطى الشال والطربوش لصاحبهما ويرسل حسن حال كونه مراهقا كرخانة الخياطين فيشتغل فيها محبوسا ثلاثة اشهر وبعد ذلك ان ظهر انه يشتغل مجتهدا وفى شغله نفع يرتب له كامثاله وعلى هذا المنوال تم الامر.
