Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ١٥ رمضان ١٢٤٥١٠ مارس ١٨٣٠ نمرة ١٢١صفحة ٢ حسن النقلى القاطن فى سوق السلاح محمد البربرى جاء بصحبة احد بصاص باش اغا فقال حسن النقلى انا ساكن فى احد الربوع وكان حبل منصوب امام باب اوضتى فنشرت ثيابى عليه وفى اليوم الثانى فتشت على الثياب فلم اجدها فسألت البواب عن ذلك فقال انا لم افتح الباب فتش انت على ثيابك فصعدت وطفقت افتش وبينما انا اجيل النظر وقد رأيت هذا البربرى رمى بنفسه من الشباك الى الارض فمسكه القوللق وراوا ان الثياب معه وارسلنا القوللق الى باش اغا والمذكور ارسلنا الى هنا فسئل محمد البربرى فقال انا كنت فى الاسكندرية غفيرا منذ سنين والان اردت ان اتوجه الى بلدى فاخذت اجازة على ذلك وخضرت امس الى الرميله فصادفتنى أمراة ردية فاخذتنى الى الربع وادخلتنى اوضة وقفلت الباب ومضت ولم تعد فرميت بنفسى من الشباك فسئل كيف اخذت الثياب فقال رأيتها منشورة على الحبل فاغوانى الشيطان على اخذها فعرض ذلك الى الافندى مأمور الديوان الخديوى فامر ان يسلم الى وكيل اسنا لكى يرسله الى بلده وتم الامر على هذا المنوال.
