Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project
We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of
Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart.
Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1"
We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements
and notes.
If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added
in an attribute to a persName.
"Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames.
This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical
Editions.

ان حضرة البيك ناظر الاوقاف المصريه ومدير الشفلكات
البحريه قد عرض لحضرة مأمور الديوان
الخديوى انه محتاج الى ديوان يقيم به هو والكتبة الذين معه ورتب له بيت من بيوت
الميرى وحيث ان بعض محلات البيت محتاج الى التعمير وكشف عنه بمعرفة البيك مفتش الابنيه وتبين
انه يتم بثلاثه وثلاثين الف قرش وكسور وحرر اشعارا لى المفتش المومى
اليه بان يبادر الى عمارته ويسارع فى ختامها.
