Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ٤ جمادى الاخر ١٢٤٦٢١ نوفمبر ١٨٣٠ نمرة ٢١١صفحة ٣ حوادث الديوان الخديوى وردت تذكرة من البيك الضابط مضمونها ان منصور احد اهل طها وشتيج دخل منزل خطاب ابى شوشه احد صناعية مبيضة بولاق ليلا فقبض عليه وهو يسرق بعض اشياء منه وارسل الى جنابه فارسل الى الديوان الخديوى مع جعفر احد انفار قوللق الموسكى فسئل خطاب فقال انى قمت فى هذه الليلية قبيل الصباح ولم اجد ثيابى فأوقدت القنديل وطفقت افتش عليها فوجدت هذا الرجل قابضا عليها فامسكت به واخذته الى البيك الضابط فسئل منصور فقال انا طباخ وقد صرت نوتيا فى احدى السفن وانى جئت مصر منذ يومين وسكنت بربع ببولاق وكان من جملة الساكنين فيه رجل اسمه حسن كنت قد رايته فى مولد طنتدا واقام عندى ليلتين فلما رانى امس انطلق بى الى الربع واعطانى هذه الثياب فقيل له اين هذا الرجل فقال فى الربع فسئل خطاب هل فى الربع رجل كذلك فقال نعم ان فيه رجلا اسمه حسن ولكنه ليس اهلا لهذه الافعال فقيل لمنصور قل الحق يا هذا فقال ان الشيطان اغوانى واخذت الثياب وليس للرجل هذا علم فلما قال هذا وتبين من كلام البصاصين انه لص قديم ارسل الى الاسكندرية ليخدم فى التراب ستة اشهر تاديبا له.
