Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ١٩ شعبان ١٢٨٤ ١٦ دسمبر ١٨٦٧ نمرة ١٦٥ صفحة ١ في ليلة الجمعة الماضية ظهر حريق بفرن محمد أبي سلامة الفران بالتبليطة بالدرب الأحمر فأسعف من الضبطية بالطلومبات ورجالها وأطفئ في أقرب زمان بدون سراية إلي الجيران ولا احتراق شئ سوى ما فوق الفرن من السقف ويعلم من بوصلة واردة من عموم الطلومبات انه في الساعة التاسعة من ليلة الأثنين ٢٨ رجب سنة ٨٤ حصل آخر هائل في مدينة الفيوم بمخزن على أفندى رمزى ملاحظها سابقا وبالاستشعار وجهت الطلومبة ورجالها فأطفئت في أقرب زمن النيران اللاتى كانت مشتعلة في الأوط بما تحتها من الحاصل المشتملة علي القطن الذي لم يخلص بذره بدون ان تسري ولا تتجاوز ما كانت فيه وذلك بحضور ضبطية تلك الجهة وجمع من المشايخ والخفراء وغيرهم.
