Rules of TEI XML MarkUp in This Project We use the Arabic script but transliteration into Latin characters follows the Library of Congress (LOC) Arabic transliteration chart. Each individual article has an individual xml:id number starting with "w1" We only use persName, orgName, placeName elements, apart from bibliographical elements and notes. If the location or organization of responsibility is known from the text, it can be added in an attribute to a persName. "Mashaykhah" and "thumn" are orgNames and placeNames. This project's schema considers Till Grallert's work in his Open Arabic Periodical Editions. 𐋢 𐋤 Arabic English Arabic transcribed according to ALA-LC Ottoman ١ جمادى الاخر ١٢٤٨٢٦ اكتوبر ١٨٣٢ نمرة ٤٤٦صفحة ٢ حوادث مجلس مصر عثمان بيك ناظر شبرا ارسل رسالة الى الديوان الخديوى وبعد ان سئل عنها الافندى ناظر الابنية احيلت على مجلس المشورة مضمونها انه يلزم تجديد اربع سواقى مربعة بموضع الاشجار التى غرست وطلب ان يومر الافندى ناظر الابنية بانشائها واذ سئل الافندى ناظر الابنية عن ذلك اجاب بان السواقى الاربع المربعة التى ذكرها الامير المومى اليه عبارة عن ستة عشر ساقية والمحل الذى يراد وضعها فيه كله رمل ولا تصح فيه السواقى المربعة وانما يمكن عمل ثمانى سواق كل ساقية بوجهين فتكون ستة عشرة ايضا وانهى ان فى اسفل شبرا من ناحية دمنهور ساقيتين مربعتين يقل ماؤهما ايام الصيف ويلزم ان يعمل لهما مجرى من البحر مثل البجمون طوله خمسون ذراعا وعرضه ذراع ونصف وعمقه اربعة اذرع وهو مع الست عشرة ساقية التى تعمل يصرف عليهما ثمانية واربعون الفا وسبعمائة وثمانية واربعون قرشا وتتم العمارة بذلك كما يتبين من دفتر المفردات بعد تمامها فقال اهل المجلس حيث كان عمل هذه السواقى ومجرى الماء المذكور من الامور اللازمة ينبغى ان يحرراعلام من الديوان الخديوى الى الافندى ناظر الابنية بان يعمل ما ذكر على موجب الكشف الذى قدمه واعلام الى عثمان بيك اشعارا له بذلك كما استقر الراى عليه فى اليوم الثامن عشر من جمادى الاولى.
